On 17th November 2024, AMI hosted a heartwarming interfaith event organised by the Universal Peace Federation, drawing a diverse audience of around 150 attendees. The event’s theme focused on‘Towards One Family of Humanity’ and celebrated unity and understanding among different faiths and cultures.

The programme featured inspiring talks from prominent figures, including:

Together, they shared powerful messages of hope, collaboration, and the need to transcend boundaries to form a global family. Readings from seven different faith traditions and collective prayers for peace enriched the gathering, setting a deeply spiritual tone for the afternoon. Attendees were moved by the award ceremony, where several individuals were honoured with Peace Awards for their contributions to harmony and understanding in their communities.

The event also raised £400 to support relief efforts in Lebanon, demonstrating the collective commitment to global solidarity.

As the formal proceedings concluded, the sense of unity carried over into a relaxed and lively afternoon of socialising. Guests shared delicious food and meaningful conversations, embodying the spirit of togetherness discussed throughout the day.

This remarkable gathering served as a reminder of what can be achieved when people come together with open hearts and minds. For many, it truly felt like the “One Family” we all aspire to build.
