Davlat Dadikhuda joins AMI as a Visiting Research Fellow

June 11, 2026

AMI is delighted to welcome Davlat Dadikhuda as a Visiting Fellow. Davlat is a philosopher whose research focuses on Avicenna and the post-Avicennian tradition, with particular emphasis on epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of mind and religion. He has held a postdoctoral research position at the University of Jyväskylä as part of the ERC-funded project Epistemic Transition in Islamic Philosophy, Theology, and Science. His work has appeared in journals such as Religious Studies, Theology and Science, and Oxford Studies in Medieval Philosophy, and his current research engages critically with Illuminationist and mystical epistemologies from a Peripatetic perspective.

During his fellowship, Davlat participated in the Islamic Mysticism and Spirituality conference on “Ways of Knowing in Sufism: Epistemology, Authority, and Contemporary Implications,” held on 1-2 June 2026 and will deliver a seminar and short course engaging AMI faculty and students with the central questions of his research.
