Nazmina Dhanji completed her BA in Arabic at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, including modules n Qur’an and Hadith Studies, Islamic Texts, and Persian. After spending a year at Damascus University consolidating her knowledge of the Arabic language, she went on to pursue further Islamic Studies and Farsi at Jami'atuz Zahra in Qum, Iran and lived there for a total of 8 years. She has translated and edited numerous works from Arabic into English and has also worked as an interpreter from Arabic and French into English. Having served on the World Federation of KSIMC’s Islamic Education Board for many years, she edits works for publication on a regular basis, for various organizations. She has also worked on the English subtitling of various Arabic films and documentaries. Being a passionate polyglot and keen to share her enthusiasm for teaching and learning languages, Nazmina has taught classes and developed curricula in French, Farsi and English as a Foreign Language.

Her current areas of interest include Arabic Language and Grammar, Islamic Ethics and Spirituality, Traditional Islamic Medicine and Healing, Tafsir and Education.
