AMI's Dr Ali-Reza Bhojani delivers lecture at the Centre for Islam and Medicine's 'Bioethics & Islam Masterclasses'

On 17th April 2017, AMI faculty member Dr Ali-Reza Bhojani gave a lecture on "Ijtihad in Shi'i Thought and the Scope for Ethical Reasoning in Response to Bio-ethical Challenges" at the Centre for Islam and Medicine's first masterclass. 

The 2017-2018 Bioethics & Islam Masterclasses is an interdisciplinary programme of learning and engagement where a team of experts will explore faith-based ethical perspectives on how to think about and navigate biomedical advances and their practical, moral and spiritual implications. The programme is aimed at patients, healthcare professionals, scholars, academics, chaplains, community advocates, policy specialists and students.
